Gwendolyn Echlin

Gwendolyn is a Senior Research Assistant for the Human Security Report Project. She leads the team responsible for the organisation's web presence, including the Human Security Gateway and Human Security Research. She also maintains and analyzes datasets commissioned by the HSRP. She previously worked on HSRP's E-resources, publishing eNewsletters and tracking information required for the HSRP indicators and outreach-related reports.

Gwendolyn recently completed her bachelor’s degree in international relations, with a minor in computer science, at the University of British Columbia. Her research interests include inter-African politics and issues relating to conflict, development, and human rights.

Prior to joining the HSRP, Gwendolyn worked as a computer science teaching assistant at UBC, headed the UBC Africa Network, and helped found the UBC chapter of Journalists for Human Rights.
